IPL 2024 Highlights of SRH vs. RCB: After surpassing 200 runs for the third time in a row, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) set Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) a target of 207 runs to chase. They have had an incredible start to their defence, dismissing Aiden Markram during the powerplay and both of SRH’s dangerous openers. Abhishek Sharma fell in the fourth over, and Travis Head fell in the first. Then, in the fifth over, Markram was dismissed by rookie Swapnil Singh, and on the final ball of that over, Heinrich Klaasen, the batting talisman for SRH, was also out. Hence, for the first time this season, SRH has dropped four wickets in the powerplay.

The SRH batters failed to live up to their big-hitting reputation as the collapse carried on. Nitish Reddy and Abdul Samad, two well-known Indian batting prospects who batted lower in the SRH order, were sent back by Karn Sharma. Nevertheless, they survived all 20 overs and finished their innings with 171/8.

Earlier, after captain Faf Du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first, RCB attempted to leave quickly. But Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been able to contain the scoring, as the Royal Caribbean (RCB) lost Will Jacks and captain Faf du Plessis in the first ten overs.
